Excerpt: Where The Honeybee Lies
Eyes closed, I inhaled deeply of the fresh, fragrant air, curling my toes in the soft foliage under my feet. Warm sunshine washed over my skin and the world was almost silent. Almost silent. The ground trembled and someone laughed so loud it rattled the glass around me. I opened my eyes but I was still in Brennan's penthouse suite, standing in the lit terrarium on his black, marble coffee-table. His guests, male and female beings alike, mingled across the large apartment sipping their drinks and enjoying themselves in the golden, afternoon light.
